Yesterday morning I managed to complete Prince of Persia. This was 3 days after I blogged about starting it, managing to strike another game off my list. That's 7 games from my list I've managed to finish off.
PoP was exactly what I was expecting it to be, a nice little diversion from shooting and a great action platformer. Nothing too challenging and a great adventure. I didn't quite 100% it though, I still have about 350 odd Light Seeds to collect, I made a separate save game file before heading back to the temple for the final showdown just in case I wanted to go back and collect everything. The fact that I did press on to complete though did help me get two trophies though, one for completing the game in under 14 hours and one for relying on Elika to save me less than 100 times. I may not have got these if I wanted to run around the map collecting the rest of these seeds.
I almost missed the final ending too, I won't spoil the game but there's a point after you beat the final boss where some credits roll and you're still controlling the prince after they've finished. I assumed that this was to allow you to go back into the map and collect the rest of the seeds but you don't have Elika with you at this point so it would have been pointless.
But after a bit of experimentation I worked out what to do and completed the whole thing before heading to work. Was almost late too after the real credits rolled.
So another success, let's see how I fare in my next game.
